Hello all!

Post by les3002 »

After spotting Turbodave's car on Pistonheads I've renewed my interest in the Cav, I've still got it sat at the back of the garage!

Nice to see a few old faces are on here, how's everyone doing?

What went off with the CTOR, seems I missed something!?

Hello squire

Basically, the CTOR got a bit shit and any suggestions to progress the site were met with a brick wall. So, a certain few got pissed off and so the CTOC was created and was instantly a better site so over a period of time, pretty much everybody swapped sides. There's still much work to be done here, but at least there's not one man hold the reigns and refusing to allow the site to grow. Can't remember the last time I used the CTOR. Bit of a shame really but hey ho, onwards and ever on.

Cheers!

Cheers for the welcome back guys :) shame about the CTOR but onwards and upwards!

The story with the Cav is basically that I hit a pothole back in 2008 which ruined one of the alloys and bent the nearside suspension, after that I took it off the road whilst I decided what to do. This was in my last year at uni, meaning I was uber skint, I needed some cash quick so rather than sell the turbo I sold the engine :( it's sat like that ever since. Recently I've started doing the odd bit here and there on it but it's slow going.

Hopefully I can get stuck into it again now!

That was my thoughts too. Grab a cheap xe and some let pistons.

I did consider a Saab lump for a while....... seems like sacrilege though!

Is there a part of this forum I'm not able to see?
